EFFECT OF GIVING PROPOLIS EXTRACT TO PREGNANT WOMEN WITH BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS

Background: Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) in pregnancy is caused by several physiological changes that disrupt the vaginal ecosystem, namely hormonal and flora. Treatment with antibiotics for cases has a risk of resistance, so alternative therapies are needed, one which propolis extract. This study aims to prove effect giving extract pregnant women bacterial vaginosis. Methods: used quasi-experimental type clinical trial research The Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. population this were 100 who experienced flour albus at Anugrah Pratama Clinic Surabaya September-December 2021. sample BV was 44 people divided into control intervention groups. Independent variabel dependent infection sampling technique consecutive sampling. Data analysis using Chi Square Test. Results: group did not reduce vaginosis infection, remained (+) 54.5% (-) 45.5%, while proven 18 .2% 81.8%. Analysis: results Chi-Square test showed p-value 0.012 α (0.05).
